Jeff Olin is a Co-founder, President & CEO and Portfolio Manager at Vision Capital Corporation, and has been co-managing the Vision Opportunity Funds for over 18 years. The Vision Opportunity Funds are real estate-focused alternative investment funds that target inefficiencies in the public market to buy real estate cheaper in the stock market than in the property market through a long-short risk-adjusted strategy. The Vision Funds have benefited from 25 takeovers in their portfolio holdings in the past 18 years at an average takeover premium of 29%, and have delivered a cumulative total return of 393.5% and a compound annual return of 9.2% since inception with significantly lower volatility than both S&P composite as well as REIT indices.
Prior to Vision, Jeff had 10 years of corporate real estate experience with Bramalea Limited and Olympia & York Developments Ltd and 15 years of senior-level experience in investment banking and management roles with HSBC and Desjardins Securities. Jeff is a graduate of the Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University in Chicago with an MBA and received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto.
