Todd Chalmers is the Managing Director and Head of Sales for Canada Investor Solutions at Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets. He leads and manages both the retail and institutional structured notes sales teams across Canada. Todd joined Scotiabank in 2011 and brings over 31 years of investment industry experience, including more than 21 years specializing in structured notes.
Prior to joining Scotiabank, Todd served as Vice President, Wealth Management and Structured Product Sales at Merrill Lynch Canada, where he was responsible for investment advisor coverage, product origination, and distribution. Before Merrill Lynch, he held the role of Executive Director, Equity and Commodity Structured Products at CIBC World Markets, and earlier in his career he spent a decade with a leading Canadian mutual fund company.
Throughout his career, Todd has been committed to educating and supporting investment professionals and institutional clients. His expertise spans the development and distribution of structured notes, new issues, hedge funds, and both closed and open ended mutual funds.
Outside of work, Todd enjoys spending time with his family at their cottage, barbecuing, golfing, and mountain biking.
